Arrowhead, the tigress who once ruled Ranthambore’s heartlands, died at 14, and a deeply personal video from a wildlife photographer has brought her final moments into focus.
Tigress Arrowhead (T-84), a name familiar to wildlife lovers and Ranthambore regulars, died earlier this week. Her death came just hours after her daughter was shifted to another tiger reserve.
The news has left wildlife photographers, forest officials, and regular safari-goers gutted. Amongst them is nature photographer Sachin Rai, who had tracked Arrowhead’s journey since she was a cub. In an emotional post on Instagram, Rai shared a video of what he called her “last walk,” filmed near Padam Talab on June 17.
